Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience began when she was 14 years old. She studied kickboxing, boxing and wrestling before she made her debut appearance as an amateur at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd was able to win three fights within a row in Ultimate Reno Combat. All of her opponents had been defeated in the first five minutes. Then, she returned to WCFC in which she beat Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian as well as Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia Calvillo handed Aspen a unanimous defeat and outclassed her to tarnish Ladd's professional career. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in the year 2015. Aspen signed with Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta 11, she was able to dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score TKO victory in the opening round. Invicta Fc 16 marked her debut fight in the Bantamweight division. She defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar during the second round. Aspen's superior wrestling skill took down McGill, and she was able to end her third round by TKO (elbows and strikes). Aspen then faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy as an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd didn't weigh in. Aspen still dominated Hoy to finish her in second round with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she took her victory in the final bout of the promotion via a unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina through ground-and-pound and won the TKO round at the end of the second. Her dominance grew and she got a bigger win when she fought Tonya Evinger, at UFC 229 Ladd finished Evinger during the first round and got her a night's performance bonus. She fought her first big fight at The UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. The two fights were an intense fight which Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. Both fighters were awarded the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd after 16 seconds, breaking the streak of winning. Yana Knitskaya lost by Ladd in the third round of UFC 7 on ESPN. She took on Norma Dumont as a substitute during her final fight against the UFC in UFC Fight Night 195. The fight ended in a unanimous verdict.
