Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault, born Salma Valgarma Hayek-Jamesenez on September 2, 1966, is an American and Mexican actor and producer. Her career began in Mexico with starring roles in the television drama Teresa (1989-1991) as in the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) in which she received an Ariel Award nomination. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) are just among her many Hollywood credits. Hayek's role as Frida Kahlo painting artist in Frida (2002) which was a biographical documentary she made, earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress nomination [6for the role of Frida Kahlo in Frida (2002). The actress also won her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and British Academy Film Award nominations. The following years, Hayek focused more on making films, while also starring in action-oriented movies like Once Upon a Time in Mexico
